Maison M, House of Makhlouf, was established in 1948 with its first branch in Dora. The Naccache branch is fairly new (just a few years old) and is made up of 4 floors.
The Boutique (Delicatessen) is made up of 2 floors, offering all kinds of selected products including handpicked fresh fruits and vegetables, charcuterie, viennoiserie, a fine collection of imported spirits, chocolate, candy and more!
The Lounge on the last floor serves freshly made sushi, a wide collection of steaks (including Wagyu, Australian tenderloin..) and drinks. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy a romantic dinner.
The Lebanese Restaurant feels very spacious surrounded by tall glass windows with a beautiful view. It seats up to 180 people and is open from Monday to Sunday from 12:00 pm – 12:00 am.
Lunch at Maison M Lebanese Restaurant
I never thought to try Lebanese food at Maison M in Naccache before, but I’m so glad I did! Seriously, there was not one thing that wasn’t good! You can taste fresh, high quality ingredients with every bite.
Carrots, peanuts, pumpkin seeds and raw almonds on ice are placed on your table as you go through the menu.
We ordered a variety of cold and hot mezza items, salads and mixed grill. The food is presented as art.
The Wara2 Enab (ورق عنب) stuffed with tangy goat labné were delicious!
A delcious, fresh fattoush with sliced rolled fried bread and drizzled with debs el remmen (pomegranate syrup).
Hummus M – three hummus “mousses” arranged in a straight line: the “Original” / Beet / Pesto. They were very light and tasty, especially the spicy beet hummus. I liked the creativity of having a pesto-based hummus, however I was not a fan of the pesto aftertaste in traditional hummus. Nonetheless, I would definitely order this item again.
My favourite was the Maajouka (معجوقة) – a mix of borghol (bulgur), lentils, spring onions, reb el har (chili paste) and debs el remmen. It’s absolutely mouthwatering and definitely something I would order again and again (and maybe even take home).
The Basterma Cheese Rolls were perfect; crunchy with just the right amount of cheese. I was hesitant about having basterma in Lebanese Rakakat, but I was not disappointed!
Spicy fried potato cubes with just the right combination of textures – perfectly crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, the way it’s supposed to be!
We ordered the Mixed Grill (Taouk / Veal / Kebab). The meat was perfectly marinated, tender and juicy and the toum (garlic spread) that came with it was very light. This mashewe (grill) platter was without a doubt one of the best I’ve ever had!
Dessert arrived in beautiful quaint mini glass bowls: Riz b Halib (Rice Pudding), Meghlé, Jazriyé (Pumpkin Jam).
Also, a fresh fruit salad! Enough said.
Maison M Restaurant takes Lebanese food to a new level. They offer traditional Lebanese cuisine with a creative twist. The combination of delicious food, excellent service and a laid back atmosphere (with a view!) completed a perfect and memorable weekend lunch. I can’t wait for my next visit!
