Last weekend, with local-favourite Kalei Coffee in Mar Mikhael, renowned vodka brand Grey Goose held “Café de Nuit”. The social gathering featured fun games, make-your-own martinis, vodka and coffee tastings, food and entertainment… all centered on the renowned French vodka and Kalei’s unique coffee blends.
Just FYI Grey Goose Vodka is made using French winter wheat and spring water from Gensac in the region of Cognac.

We’re inside, PHEW!
Step 2: Smell & Tell
Test your senses and identify the ingredient. I love a good challenge 😉
Step 3: Coffee Tasting
Taste the difference between different roasts: Light, Medium, Dark.
FYI the caffeine content decreases as the roast gets darker. I’m going to pick at the coffee baristas’ brains next time I visit and learn more about the art of coffee – and, of course, I’ll share the experience here 🙂
Step 4: Meet François Thibault and Taste Grey Goose SEC!
François Thibault, French Maître de Chai from Cognac, known for developing the recipe for Grey Goose vodka, presented his story to guests as they tasted Grey Goose straight from the bottle. No cocktails in this room!
Step 5: Make your own Espresso Grey Goose Vodka-based Martini
The steps are simple:
- Fill a cup with ice (to make it cold)
- Pour a large shot of Grey Goose vodka in the cocktail shaker
- Add a shot of espresso coffee and a little bit of sugar syrup
- Shake it baby 😉 – Close the shaker lid first!
- Dispose of ice you placed in your cup
- Fill up your cup
- Garnish with espresso beans
- ET VOILA!
The Espresso Martini was so delicious!
I even received a cool GIF of myself making my own drink!
Step 6: Finally, party the night away!
Sipping on delicious Grey Goose cocktails on the rooftop, positive vibes all around… the perfect way to close the door on summer, before the sky starts crying…
