Lebanese people are passionate by character. Two things that they are extremely passionate about are food and football!
FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia is now ON and we’re all ready and excited to cheer on our favourite teams!
I’ve teamed up with Lebanese favourite, Picon, for their World Cup 2018 campaign featuring World-Cup-themed trucks serving traditional Picon Kaake around Lebanon. BUT there’s a twist!
A group of popular Lebanese influencers (including myself) have each put a twist to the beloved Picon Kaakeh inspired by the country they’re rooting for 😉
Hello, Team England!
Watch me create my tasty World Cup “English mix” in this video:
My Picon Kaakeh mix includes:
- Picon cheese, obviously
- Roast Beef, sliced
- English Mustard
- Pickles, chopped
- Chips (aka “crisps” for the Brits)
So what I started by cutting the traditional Lebanese kaake, spread 4 wedges of Picon cheese (you can add more wedges if you prefer), then transfer it to a cast iron grill press. After it’s nice and toasted, add roast beef, a touch of English mustard, pickles, and then finally sprinkle with crushed chips. You can choose any flavour you like. I would go with salt or salt & vinegar chips 😉
Did you guys know chips originated in England? Did you know they invented football?!
#غذّي_حماسك and look for the Picon Truck for some mid-game yummy snacks 😉 Sahtein and may the best team win!
