Weekends are for brunches.
And what better way to commit to this implicit tradition other than to join the Sunday Brunch at Le Gray Hotel for a delectable feast at their 5-star restaurant, Indigo on the Roof?
Sunday Brunch at Le Gray Hotel Beirut
When we visited, the outdoor terrace was closed because of the weather, so we sat in the bright sun-lit dining room, which just radiates positive energy. The spirited staff also help with that “positive energy” bit, since they’re all smiles from start to finish and are always at your beck and call.
Start with a complimentary welcome drink with Prosecco and berries.
The Sunday Brunch at Le Gray Hotel is served in front of a semi-open kitchen and includes fresh oysters, an assortment of sushi and sashimi, vibrant healthy salads, a build-your-own salad bar, several varieties of charcuterie and cheese, bread, viennoiserie, and even a live Mexican station with all the add-ins! These include: Chili Con Carne, Chicken and Beef Fajitas, Tomato Salsa, Sweet Corn Salsa, Guacamole, Sour Cream, Cheese Sauce, Shredded Iceberg, Cheese, Jalapenos, Nachos, and Tortillas. Phew.

The Mains
Other “à la minute” dishes are served à la carte, which also follows their “open” concept. Order whatever your heart desires from the brunch menu from the eggs selection (I highly recommend the Eggs Royale) and hot main courses.
I chose the Sea Bass with fresh herbs for lunch, which was absolutely succulent and perfectly cooked.
T got the Brie & Bacon Burger – which I had more than a few bites of… It’s out-of-this-world good! Melted gooey brie and bacon sit atop a juicy piece of meat caressed with a slather of mayo. #burgerpornalert
Why are you still here? Go try that burger!
Ah no, wait! I haven’t told you about dessert yet.
A whole spread of treats await you once you’ve finished devouring that lavish spread and delicious mains.
From the tangy lemon meringue tart, sweet caramel pecan mini tarts, and berry-licious baked cheesecake to the apple crumble cake spiced with cinnamon, red velvet layered cake, and more, this dessert feast at the Sunday brunch at Le Gray Hotel will surely satisfy your sweet tooth. There’s even a live crepe station and, wait for it, a chocolate fountain!
While T went for dessert, I indulged in their decadent hot chocolate.
Shush tummy, just one more sip.
Final Verdict?
The exquisite Sunday brunch at Le Gray Hotel is the perfect occasion for a family gathering complete with a wide selection of scrumptious food to please all palates. There’s even entertainment and workshops for kids while the grown-ups indulge and enjoy their meals over boring adult conversation.
Brace yourselves for a long, peaceful, and very necessary afternoon nap when you get back home. Seriously, you won’t be able to eat anything for the next 24 hours after indulging in this lavish brunch. If you were able to restrain yourself, teach me your ways oh wise one.
