A Summer Staycation at Senses Hotel & Resort Kaslik, Lebanon [Hotel Review]

The weather desperately called for a weekend by the pool, somewhere that would feel neither “tourist-y” nor corporate.

Cue Senses Hotel and Resort.

Situated right off the main Kaslik highway, 4* Senses Hotel and Beach Resort is the perfect pool destination when you don’t want to travel too far from central Beirut.

The staff was amazing (especially Bob)! From the moment we arrived at Senses Hotel and Resort, they (Bob) did absolutely everything to make our stay perfect.

Check-in was quick – it took about 5 minutes.

Our Room: Deluxe Sea View (with Balcony)

After we checked in, our hosts showed us to our room, which was sized more like a studio – complete with a big terrace and lounge chairs to tan.

Inside

The spacious deluxe sea view room offers a comfy king-size bed, private bathroom (with rain shower <3), bathrobes and slippers, flat-screen TV, free WiFi, air-conditioning, and soundproofing (however, the glass doors didn’t soundproof the music outside resulting from outdoor events).

Also worth pointing out, our room had many flat surfaces; much appreciated for spreading out our many electronic devices around the room.

Additionally, there was a kettle and tea/coffee as well as a fridge to store whatever we liked!

Outside

Our room was 35 m² with a balcony terrace facing the pool, offering a (partially obscured but still existent) sea view. We enjoyed our lunch on the terrace on our last day – nothing says beach like burgers 😉

Breakfast and Dining Options at Senses Hotel and Resort

Let’s agree that one of the best parts about staying in a hotel is breakfast.

We had the choice of having breakfast brought up to our room, and of course, we went for that option.

The next morning, we went downstairs a little earlier and indulged in their breakfast buffet before heading off to the pool. You can find Lebanese and international specialties at the buffet as well as coffee, tea and fresh orange juice. I would have preferred milk in my coffee as opposed to the powdered creamers available. Fresh fruit salad was my go-to breakfast on both mornings.

There are 2 pools: outdoor and indoor, the former having chairs in the water and a bar to enjoy a drink.

Pool Access

The best part of our stay? The pool, of course!

We loved these outdoor pool showers!

Senses Hotel and Resort provided us with funky coloured beach towels because we forgot ours (how irresponsible of us!), so that was a plus.

Additionally, hotel guests and non-guests can enjoy food and drinks by the pool! Beer anyone?

Location

The main shopping street of Kaslik is literally a 2-minute drive from the hotel, which was very convenient! There are tons of stores and restaurants to visit. Kaslik is also in close proximity to many venues to have a few drinks on Saturday night! In fact, T and I went on a Columbian dinner date on night #2.
