Breakfast on the Boulevard Beirut [restaurant closed]

I’ve been to Boulevard Beirut on a number of occasions and I love their lunch and dinner menu. The restaurant serves classic Lebanese favourites with a modern touch.

For lunch or dinner, you must try the traditional Lebanese shish barak and the mini kafta pockets served with a minty fresh laban dip!

The venue is already one of my favourites in Beirut in terms of comfort, decoration and interior design in comparison to other Lebanese restaurants.

Good morning from Boulevard Beirut

Breakfast at Boulevard Beirut MENU

T (#mybeau) and I decided to visit Boulevard Beirut on a Sunday morning and enjoy a Lebanese breakfast by the sea. The tables by the window have THE best view!

We ordered the Lebanese Breakfast (20,000 LBP), Grilled Halloumi (11,000 LBP) and Tea (5,000 LBP). It was definitely enough for two.

The Lebanese Breakfast includes 2 scrambled or fried eggs, labneh, foul, markouk thyme rolls, white and brown baguette slices, Lebanese bread, strawberry and apricot jam, butter and assorted vegetables – it’s a great value for money in my opinion. The eggs were tasty, but extremely (!) oily, although we did ask in advance that a reasonable amount of oil be used. The foul was delicious and the jam added a sweet ending note to our meal.

Also, Halloumi + Strawberry Jam = Heaven. Try it.

Final Verdict?

The service was good and the staff members were hospitable and professional.

I really enjoyed our breakfast at Boulevard Beirut. I would come back to enjoy a quiet morning with good food and even better company. It’s also the perfect spot in the morning to have a  peaceful coffee date with your book 🙂

So what’s next?

After breakfast, we took a trip to Jbeil and walked by the scenic dockside enjoying the surrounding traditional fisherman boats and clear blue waters (despite the recent garbage crisis). I know it’s pretty far from Beirut, but if you leave around 8-9 a.m. you can beat the traffic and get there in about 25 minutes 😉
